WORKOUT OF THE WEEK 02/01/2017

Try this to burn off those unwanted calories from the festive season. It will take you less than 30 minutes including a warm-up and cool-down.

On the rowing machine (preferably a Concept 2 rowing machine found in most gyms), row 250 metres as fast as you can. Rest for 1 minute and repeat 7 times. Total rows 8 x 250 metres. Record your score and try to improve next week.

Remember to include a 5 minute warm-up on the rower, a cool-down walk for 5 minutes and add stretches.

If you have an extra few minutes, hit the core with some planks and side planks to strengthen and tone-up the mid section.
